Hello Reader,Each week, I share one insight, one prompt, and a short grounding practice to help you grow with AI in alignment, not overwhelm. This is for conscious entrepreneurs who value substance over shortcuts. AI Insight That Matters π‘The Algorithm Is a MirrorA founder I was helping with his prospecting opened LinkedIn Sales Navigator and asked it for recommended leads. The tool did what it is built to do and handed back a hundred names, the people it was confident he should be selling to. We read the list together. Roughly half were direct competitors, other firms in his own category. Another third were companies large enough to have their own in-house teams, the kind that would never hire him. The buyers his warm network surfaces every single week, the ones who actually say yes? Not one of them appeared. His first instinct was that the tool was broken. It was not. Sales Navigator does not know who he should reach. It knows who he already engages with. Its recommendations are look-alikes of his existing footprint, so the list came back as a portrait of who he already talks to, and he mostly talks to peers. The feed was a mirror held up to his own signal. Sit with that, because it runs far past one prospecting tool. Every recommendation engine works this way. Spotify, YouTube, your own timeline, the leads a sales tool serves you. None of them can see who you should reach. They can only reflect who you already are to them. When the output surprises you with how far off it lands, that is not a glitch to complain about. It is a reading. The machine is telling you what signal you have been sending. And once you see it in the algorithm, you start seeing it everywhere. The people who keep showing up around you. The invitations that land in your inbox. The opportunities that seem to find you on their own. All of it is a reflection of the signal you put out, whether you meant to send it or not. So the fix is never a cleverer filter. A mirror will not show you something you are not standing in front of. Change what you feed it, sharpen who you are to it, and the reflection changes with you. AI Prompt That Works β¨Read Your Own SignalBefore you blame a tool for showing you the wrong people, have the AI tell you what signal you are currently sending. This gives you two things today: a clear read on the gap between who you want and who you are attracting, and three post angles that start closing it. Open ChatGPT or Claude, make sure web search is switched on, and run this. Do not go gathering your own posts first. Let the AI do the looking, because the whole point is to see your signal the way the world sees it, not the way you would curate it. The Prompt: I want you to act as a positioning analyst.β
Here is who I actually want to attract as clients:[describe your ideal client in plain words: who theyare, what they are struggling with, what they want].β
Now go and find the signal I am actually sending.Search the web for [your name], [your business name]and [your website]. Read my site, my bio, my recentposts and articles, whatever public trail you canfind. That is my signal as the world receives it.β
One gap you cannot see: most of my posting lives on[platform, e.g. LinkedIn], which your search cannotreach. Here are my last few posts from there:[paste them, or delete this part if not needed]β
Do this, in order.β
1. READ THE MIRROR. Based only on what you found, tell me who this signal is actually trained to attract. Be honest, even if it is not who I said I want.β
2. NAME THE GAP. In two or three sentences, tell me the difference between who I am attracting and who I want.β
3. GIVE ME THREE ANGLES. Write three specific content angles, in my voice, that would start retraining the signal toward the client I actually want. Make each one something I could post this week.If the search comes back nearly empty, that is not a failed exercise. It is the clearest reading of all: the world cannot reflect a signal you are not sending. Run it, and notice how often the reflection you have been getting turns out to be an honest read of the signal you forgot you were sending. Grounding Practice β―What Keeps Finding YouFind a few quiet minutes. No phone, no notebook, nothing to solve. Bring to mind the things that found you this past week. A message you did not expect. An invitation. A recommendation a feed served up. The kind of person who keeps appearing in your days. Do not judge any of it. Do not sort it into good or bad. Just let each one arrive and hold it for a breath, the way you would look at your own reflection in a still window. Then ask, gently, with no pressure to answer: what signal would call these particular things toward me? Notice where the answer lands in your body before your mind builds a case. Sometimes it is a quiet nod of recognition. Sometimes a small discomfort. Stay with whatever is there a moment longer, then carry on with your day. Personal Note β€οΈβπ₯βYesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.β β Rumi Here is something I have not said out loud yet this week. I teach people to send a clear signal, so the right work and the right people find their way back to them. And the clearest signal of what I am here to do, the book I have been promising, keeps sliding down my own week. The waitlist is live at theamplifiedcoach.ai. The pages, mostly, are not written. This past stretch was quiet on my side. No new posts, no fresh noise, a deliberate step back into deeper work. And the reflection matched the input exactly. A quiet week sent out a quiet signal, and a quiet signal brought a quiet week back. The mirror does not flatter you, and it does not lie to you. I could dress that up as intentional rest, and some of it was. But the honest read is that the thing most central to my signal is the thing I keep letting go silent. I notice the same reflex I named to that founder over his lead list. It is easier to study the reflection than to change what is standing in front of the glass. So I am sitting with a question this week rather than a lesson. Not how do I get more back, but what am I actually willing to send. Because I already know the mirror is working. It always is. π¬ Go DeeperGuest spot: The Coaching Edge Podcastβ I joined Dr. Steve Jeffs and Erwin de Grave recently and we landed squarely in this weekβs territory: AI is not the shortcut, it is the mirror. We talked about why the inner work comes before the prompt, and what happens to your results when the machine finally knows who it is working with. From the blog: The Task You Dread Is Telling You What to Automateβ The dread you feel about a repetitive job is its own kind of signal, pointing straight at the thing to hand over. Same idea as this week, aimed at your calendar instead of your feed. On YouTube Step-by-step walkthroughs and tactical implementation for conscious AI integration.
Thanks for being here. If this resonates, share it with someone who would benefit from hearing this. Reply and let me know what landed for you. π Colin P.S. The book I mentioned above, The Amplified Coach, is the operating system I have been building for coaches working in the age of AI for the past three years. If that is you, step onto the waitlist at theamplifiedcoach.ai and you will be first through the door when it opens. |
