AI Prompt of the Week ✨

Boost your AI skills with a weekly dose of Prompt Engineering magic.

Exploring the Road Not Taken: A Parallel Life Reflection

This week, let’s take a step into the unknown—imagining an alternate version of your life shaped by a single different choice. This reflective prompt invites you to see through the eyes of another “you,” offering new insights into the paths you’ve walked and the possibilities still ahead.

The Prompt:

Imagine a parallel version of my life where I made a different decision at a pivotal moment—perhaps a career choice, a move, or a relationship. Describe this alternate life in detail: where I am, what I’ve gained, and what I’ve experienced differently. Help me reflect on the wisdom, inspiration, or perspective this journey could bring to my present life.

Sometimes, seeing ourselves through a different lens reveals things we didn’t realize existed. Let this prompt invite you to explore, reflect, and connect with a version of yourself you may have forgotten—or not yet met. 🌌

Creativity

Done is Better Than Perfect 🎨

Perfection is seductive, but it can also keep us stuck. This week, let’s focus on finishing instead of refining endlessly.

The Experiment:

  1. Pick a Small Project: Choose something you’ve been overthinking—an email draft, a video idea, or a post you’ve meant to share.
  2. Set a Timer: Give yourself one Pomodoro (25 minutes) to complete it, no matter how imperfect it feels.
  3. Release It: Share, publish, or save it as “done.” Resist the urge to tweak.

Let the act of finishing spark momentum. You might surprise yourself with how much progress happens when you let go of perfection.

Spirituality

Tuning Into the Eternal Rhythm 🌌

In the teachings of Hermetic philosophy, everything vibrates, and nothing rests. This vibration is present in the external world and within us, resonating through every breath, thought, and action. As you read this, your heart beats, blood flows through your veins, and your breath moves in and out. It’s the pulse of life itself, the rhythm of creation that connects all things.

The Practice:

  • Pause to Listen: In moments of stillness, turn your awareness inward. What do you feel moving within you—a thought, a sensation, or a hum of energy?
  • Feel the Resonance: Notice how certain moments, people, or decisions harmonize with your inner rhythm while others feel dissonant.
  • Act From Alignment: When you sense this harmony, allow it to guide your choices. Trust that this inner resonance is the universe speaking through you.

The beauty of this vibration lies in its simplicity. You don’t have to seek it—it’s already there, waiting for your attention. By attuning to this eternal rhythm, you step into the flow of life, where each moment feels deliberate and effortless.

As The Kybalion reminds us, "The All is in all." This week, let this truth guide your steps.

Life Update

"Rest and be thankful."
— William Wordsworth

The start of the year hasn’t been as energetic as I’d envisioned. Recovering from the illness I had over Christmas has been a slow process, and my energy levels are nowhere near where I’d like them to be. But in the stillness, I’ve found an unexpected teacher: rest.

I've also been having a quiet wrestling match with guilt.

Isn't it strange how deeply ingrained the urge to do can be?

For me, resting comes with a feeling that I should be producing, achieving, and pushing forward. A voice on loop in my head says, "Colin, you need to do this, you need to do that..."

I’m learning that rest isn’t the absence of doing—it’s an essential act of renewal.

As I lean uncomfortably into rest, I’m also leaning into trust. Trusting that the pause is productive in its own way. The energy will return when it’s ready, and doing less doesn’t diminish who we are or what we’re capable of.

If you’re feeling the pull between rest and guilt, know this—you’re not alone, and you’re not falling behind. Sometimes, the most profound growth comes when we allow ourselves the grace to simply be.

With love and gratitude ❤️‍🔥🙏,
Colin
